Despite the odds of living in a small town like Blessing, Texas and being raised in a humble background, Kelly still pursued her dreams and made a career in law enforcement. Her inspiration is the concept of helping people depending on her to seek justice during trial. In 2008, she came up with the proposal about ‘cold justice’ which was later made possible by Dick Wolf who suggested it to TNT. Cold justice is a reality crime series uncovering murder cases that have existed for a very long time exclusive of proper response.
