I believe that social policy is a set of principles, laws, guidelines, or principles primarily concerned with how societies meet human needs. Among the human needs that social policy addresses include education, work, health, security, and well-being, among other factors that affect the living conditions conducive to human welfare. Basically, social policy enhances proper analysis of different roles of the government, civil society, and family, among other sectors that define societal responsibilities to ensure the provision of support and services across human life from childhood to adulthood. Therefore, social policy can be described as legislation eliminating inequalities in access to services and support, especially between social groups that become defined by social status, race, ethnicity, age, and other factors.
